Microsoft MapPoint Web Service Customers - Getting ready to migrate to Bing Maps

Microsoft will consolidate to the Bing™ Maps Platform and end support for MapPoint® Web Service effective November 18, 2011. As you may help migrate to Bing Maps we wanted to make you aware of a few tools that might help.

Interactive SDK
A new interactive SDK for our AJAX Control 7.0 is now available. This developer resource makes it easy to see Bing Maps features in action and then find the corresponding code and events for use in your application.

With the deadline quickly approaching, here's a quick reminder on the three-step process.

  1. Contact EPI at the following email address: mpadmin@epidirect.com, and request access to your Bing Maps account and your Bing Maps developer and enterprise access keys. These are unique identifiers that are used to receive and process developer and production Bing Maps transactions.

  2. Upgrade your software to use the Bing Maps API (program interface). For additional information, please refer to the links below.

  3. Check out these blog posts to understand more about the migration process and get tips and tricks from the experts.
